Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965), is an American actress from the United States. She is best known for her character as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The show ended after the seventh season. Sedgwick's performance as Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also noteworthy. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance in Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992) as well as Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech/family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick, a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian heritage. Sedgwick has publicly declared her Jewish roots and stated that she takes part in Passover seders.
